a. What data is processed and for what purpose?

Each time our website is accessed, certain data that may allow identification is temporarily stored. The following data is collected:

  • Website from which our site is accessed (referrer)
  • Websites accessed from our site
  • Pages visited and files retrieved on our site
  • Notification whether the request was successful
  • Amount of data transferred
  • Information about browser type and version
  • Operating system

Temporary storage of this data is necessary to provide the website. Further storage in log files takes place to ensure the functionality of the website and the security of our IT systems. These purposes also constitute our legitimate interests in processing the data.

b. Legal basis

Processing is carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

c. Recipients

The website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. The hosting provider receives the above-mentioned data as our processor.

d. Storage period

Data is erased as soon as it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. For the provision of the website, this is the case when the respective session ends. Log files are kept for a maximum of 7 days, accessible only to administrators, and are then deleted automatically.

3. Your rights

  • Right of access: You may request information under Article 15 GDPR about the personal data we process about you.
  • Right to object: You have a right to object on grounds relating to your particular situation (see Section II below).
  • Right to rectification: If your personal data is inaccurate or incomplete, you may request rectification under Article 16 GDPR.
  • Right to erasure: You may request erasure of your personal data under Article 17 GDPR.
  • Right to restriction of processing: You have the right to request restriction of processing under Article 18 GDPR.
  • Right to lodge a complaint: If you believe that the processing of your personal data infringes data protection law, you have the right under Article 77(1) GDPR to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority of your choice. The collection of data for the provision of the website and the storage of log files is strictly necessary for the operation of the website and therefore not based on consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) or a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), but on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The conditions of Article 20(1) GDPR are therefore not fulfilled in this respect.

We provide a contact form. When you use it, we process the following personal data:

  • Name
  • E-mail address
  • Company
  • Telephone number
  • Message
  • Additionally (for technical reasons): transmission timestamp, IP address

The data are stored solely for the purpose of transmitting and responding to enquiries. Mandatory fields serve to allocate your request and to respond to it appropriately. This processing is based on our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

You may object to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR at any time; the information in Section II (Right to object, Article 21 GDPR) and your other data subject rights in Section I.3 apply.

Your data will be deleted after your enquiry has been completed, as a rule no later than 6 months after the last communication. Where statutory retention obligations apply (e.g. under Section 147 of the German Fiscal Code – AO), we retain the data accordingly.

II. Right to object pursuant to Article 21(1) GDPR

You have the right, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to object at any time to the processing of your personal data which is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. We will then no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. The collection of data for the provision of the website and the storage of log files are strictly necessary for the operation of the website.
